YouTube Comment Exporter

Keep the conversation in a CSV.

Collect available YouTube comments and replies across pages. Choose your fields and download a private CSV for Excel or Google Sheets.

Advanced exports require a SearchComments account and credits. No YouTube account password is needed. See credits and pricing.

Built for exploration

Keep your progress in view.

Loaded comments, more-comment controls and opened replies stay together beside the results.

Public data only

No social account login.

SearchComments works with public video URLs. It never asks for a TikTok or YouTube password.

Account credits

Pay only for delivered rows.

The job reserves its maximum first, charges only unique rows placed in the finished CSV, and returns the unused reservation automatically.

Export YouTube comments to a usable CSV

  1. Paste one public video URL. Choose a top-level comment target and whether to collect available replies.
  2. Choose your fields and review the credit reservation. Start the job with your SearchComments account. No YouTube password is required.
  3. Download the finished file. Comments and replies are separate rows. Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets to sort feedback, group questions, or prepare a client report.

The target is a collection limit, not a promise that every requested row is available. Deleted, restricted, filtered, or unavailable comments can leave a smaller file. Partial exports report what was delivered.

What is in the exported file?

Essential fields contain six columns. All available fields adds parent relationships, dates, likes and reply counts, for ten columns. Choose All available fields when you need to connect replies to their parent comments.

A top-level row with comment_id=c1 has an empty parent_id. A reply with comment_id=r1 and parent_id=c1 belongs to that comment. Both are delivered rows.

Download a 10-column example CSV or a 6-column example CSV. Both use the same CSV formatter as the product and contain five fictional comments and one fictional reply, not a real video export.

Missing fields stay empty rather than being invented. CSV uses UTF-8 with a byte-order mark to help spreadsheet software display emoji and non-Latin text. The download is CSV; it is not a native Excel workbook or JSON file.

Credits and pricing

Advanced exports use a SearchComments account and row credits. One unique comment or reply row delivered in the CSV uses one credit. The job reserves its maximum first and returns unused reserved credits automatically.

Research includes 5,000 credits for USD 9; Power includes 15,000 credits for USD 19. These are one-time purchases with non-expiring credits, shared across TikTok and YouTube. View credit packs.

Before you export

Can I try a free comment download first?

Yes. Use the YouTube Free Viewer without a SearchComments account. Download up to 100 rows from the current filtered view, including loaded replies belonging to matching top-level comments. Larger exports use account credits.

Does the paid export use my Viewer filters?

No. The paid job collects a dataset for the supplied video and your chosen target. Viewer keyword, author and date filters do not carry into the job. You can filter the finished CSV in a spreadsheet.

How are comments and replies charged?

Each unique row placed in the finished CSV uses one credit. Including replies reserves up to twice the top-level target. Unused reserved credits return to your balance automatically.

Can I export comments from a video I do not own?

You can supply a public video URL. Ownership is not required, but public availability and provider limits still apply. Private or unavailable comments cannot be retrieved.
